Acura Continues Its Social Domination

After Acura got social last month for the launch and promotion of its refreshed 2019 Acura ILX compact sedan, the brand was able to capture some attention from a new, younger crowd. This new way of being social sparked even more ideas for this luxury brand.

This month, Acura launches a brand-new Facebook Instant Game to put just a small taste of the 2019 Acura ILX's performance, style, power, and passion right in the palm of your hand.

Facebook Instant Games is a smart new way to play games online with friends without needing to download any additional apps or systems. Games can be played both in Messenger conversations or right in your News Feed, and now the 2019 Acura ILX is joining in.

The game is called ILX Total Control, and it does just what it sounds like: it gives you control over the stylish, powerful new 2019 Acura ILX right from your smartphone.

Acura says you can “tilt your phone to the left, and the ILX power-drifts to the left. Spin it all the way for a 360-degree turn, or quickly move it upward for an awesome jump.” Other moves include forward and backward driving, jump, 180 spins, hop (over raised road surface), and slalom.

Local driving rules may prevent you from pulling most of those moves in real life when driving a new 2019 Acura ILX, but the new Facebook Instant Game can let you dream the workday away.

Another fun detail about the ILX Total Control game?

Game engineers hid plenty of "Easter Eggs" within the game that you can find as you explore the new domain. These secrets may unlock new options for the Acura ILX in the game or may even give you new moves to try out.
