2022 Acura RDX Preview - coming soon to Charlotte

Many Charlotte drivers have already seen the excitement and sophistication a new Acura RDX offers, but the 2022 Acura RDX wants to go further. With a release expected later in 2021, we are excited to share some details of the upcoming 2022 Acura RDX, ensuring you can see what will make it a model you want in your Charlotte driveway.

The current package lineup for the Acura RDX includes Standard, Technology Package, A-Spec® Package, and Advance Package, something we don't suspect will change for the 2022 Acura RDX.

The 2022 Acura RDX is a three-row SUV designed to keep you entertained while offering all the capabilities you need. We expect the cabin to see some interior changes, but only minor ones since it was redesigned for its 2019 model year.

Some additional features might find their way into the 2022 Acura RDX as well. Other updated Acura models now come with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, which would be a welcomed addition to the 2022 Acura RDX. Being able to easily tap through settings, media, and songs will help you enjoy the time you spend inside.

We don't expect any major mechanical changes for the 2022 Acura RDX. It currently has a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that makes up to 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. This goes well with the 10-speed automatic transmission to create a smooth and controlled performance for any occasion. We wouldn't mind a more powerful engine or hybrid option added to the lineup, but the current engine offers enough for the Acura RDX to add some fun to every commute.

We expect some slight changes to the body of the 2022 Acura RDX. Mostly taking design cues from the 2022 Acura RDX, we think there could be a sleeker grille and rear bumpers to further enhance the excitement and thrill that the model portrays.

The 2022 Acura RDX A-Spec® package will be the right choice for anyone who wants the most aggressive and exciting model in their driveway. This package currently alters the exhaust, side mirrors, bumpers, and badging, which we expect to continue into the 2022 Acura RDX.

It's also likely that the 2022 Acura RDX will continue to offer front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Giving drivers a choice means they will be able to always appreciate their time driving, even if it is through tough conditions that call for the improved traction of all-wheel drive.

The updated Acura MDX added more standard safety features, and we hope the same for the 2022 Acura RDX. The addition of Blind-Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alerts helps drivers feel more confident on any busy roads. The AcuraWatch™ system already has many standard safety features for the majority of the Acura lineup, but adding more features is always welcomed.

As mentioned, there isn't a lot of information available for the 2022 Acura RDX, releasing later this year. Our Charlotte team uses other evidence from Acura updates to speculate what the 2022 Acura RDX will come with, but we will need to wait for its release to be certain of anything. We are happy to answer any questions you have about new or upcoming Acura models!
